2. FACE DATA AND BIOMETRIC INFORMATION

Our Services may process images that contain human faces solely to enable search functionality within the application.

Sources of Face Data (Database Content)

The face data searchable within the Services is obtained exclusively from publicly available government records, including offender locator databases.

• This data is part of the public domain
• It is not user-generated content
• Users cannot upload or contribute face data to the searchable database

User-Submitted Images for Search

If you choose to perform a search using your own image:

• The image is transmitted securely to our servers
• The image is processed only to perform the requested search
• Facial features may be temporarily analyzed for matching purposes
• The image and derived data are not stored after the search completes

Data Retention Policy for Face Data

• Public database data: Stored only as long as necessary to provide the Services and consistent with the availability of the original public records. Data is periodically refreshed.
• User-submitted images: Retained only for the duration of the search request and deleted immediately after processing (typically within seconds to minutes)
• We do not store face data indefinitely
• We do not create persistent biometric profiles of users

Purpose of Processing Face Data

Face data is used strictly for:

• Matching images against public records
• Returning search results

We do not use face data for:

• advertising
• profiling
• behavioral tracking
• training machine learning models on user-submitted images

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to:

• provide and operate the Services
• improve functionality and performance
• communicate with users
• ensure security and prevent fraud

We use images containing face data that you voluntarily provide solely to perform requested search functionality. These images are processed transiently and are not retained after the search is completed.

• with service providers that help operate the Services

Face Data Exception: Any face data derived from user-submitted images is retained only for the duration necessary to perform the requested search and is deleted immediately thereafter.
